Important Instructions For MTNL Broadband Subscribers

1.  Your Default Username is your Telephone number and your default password is your CA Number. All the steps to change your password are available at http://delhi.mtnl.net.in/services/change_password.html
2. Please Switch-off the router when not in use.
3. DSL-590 NU Plan Users please switch-on CPE during Night after 00:00 hrs and ensure disconnection before 8:00 hrs in morning for availing unlimited night free internet uses.
4. Please Switch-off the CPE/Modem at last day of month before 23:59 hrs to avoid Mb charging in next month.
5.  Data download include files/programs downloads, email receiving and its attachments, websites browsing/surfing, chatting, online games, videos and songs etc. i.e. any data received on your computer from internet it is treated as download.
6. Users can check their session details through URL http://register.bol.net.in. MB used  in a month is shown in resource “MB Used”. MB left in a month is shown in   resource “ADSL MB”. Day wise summary is available at “View Session History” link.
7. For best performance of Broadband use Windows XP with Ethernet Connectivity.
8. Windows XP users can configure Broadband Dialer for better performance. With Dialer you need not switch off Router Physically. All the steps to configure dialer is available at  http://delhi.mtnl.net.in/services/broadband_dialer.htm  For other  operating systems like Win 95, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000 etc. dialer is available at sit  http://raspppoe.com (file approx 150KB in size).
9. Download Speed is guaranteed till ISP only. You can verify your speed till MTNL ISP through our website http://202.159.217.199:8080/mtnlPortal123/dsl/tester.jsp
10. Users can track their Download/Speed with freely available software (like  Bandwidth Reporter http://www.pppindia.com/bandwothreporter/)
11. Broadband Bill is sent along with normal telephone bill and is debited under Head   “Other debits” with description “Tri Band Subscriber”. Breakup of this bill is    available at http://bol.net.in/billing/index.htm.
